Event Code of Conduct

Attendee-facing code of conduct for all events booked through Resistor.

Everyone Deserves a Safe Night

This event is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees, artists, and staff — regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, age, body size, religion, or experience level.

By attending this event, you agree to this code of conduct.

Stop. Support. Report.

If you see something, do something. Our approach is based on the AFEM framework.

1

Stop

If you witness harassment, unwanted contact, or unsafe behavior, intervene safely if you can. A simple "Are you okay?" can make a difference.

2

Support

Check in with the person affected. Offer to stay with them, help them move to a safe area, or accompany them to staff.

3

Report

Tell a staff member or security. You can also report anonymously through the Resistor app. All reports are taken seriously.

Expected Behavior

  • Respect personal space and boundaries. Always ask before touching someone. "No" means no, immediately and without argument.
  • Respect the dance floor. Be aware of the space you take up. Make room for others.
  • Respect identity. Use people's chosen names and pronouns. Do not question or challenge anyone's identity.
  • Photograph and record responsibly. Ask before photographing or recording anyone. Respect "no photo" requests and wristbands.
  • Look out for each other. If someone looks unwell, lost, or distressed, check on them or alert staff.
  • Protect your hearing. Free earplugs are available at the bar/entrance (where provided).

Zero Tolerance

The following behaviors will result in immediate removal from the event and may result in a permanent ban from future events:

  • Sexual harassment, assault, or unwanted sexual contact of any kind
  • Racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory language or behavior
  • Intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Non-consensual photography or recording
  • Physical violence or threats of violence
  • Deliberate disruption of performances or equipment
  • Spiking drinks or any form of substance-related assault

Harm Reduction

We believe in meeting people where they are. The following services may be available at this event (check with the organizer):

  • Free water stations — Stay hydrated.
  • Chill-out area — A quieter space if you need a break.
  • First aid — Trained first aiders on site.
  • Awareness team — Trained volunteers you can approach for any concern.
  • Drug checking services — Where legally available, no-judgment testing.
  • Safe ride home — Information about transport options displayed at the exit.

Need Help?

Approach any staff member or look for the awareness team (usually identifiable by their vests or badges). You can also report incidents anonymously through the Resistor app. We believe you. We will help.

Accessibility

  • This venue's accessibility features are listed on the event page.
  • If you have accessibility needs not covered, contact the organizer in advance.
  • Service animals are welcome.
  • If strobe lighting or heavy bass is a concern, ask staff about low-stimulation areas.
